Tiki culture themed restaurant lounge opens in Bondi

Sydney's Bondi Junction is home to a new and unique Tiki themed restaurant lounge, Kongs Jungle Lounge.


Bondi Junction, the heartland of the eastern suburbs is home to a unique Tiki themed restaurant lounge,  Kong’s Jungle Lounge .


The unique Bondi venue, Kongs Jungle Lounge offers a sneak peak into Hollywood’s Tiki culture famous during the 40’s and 50’s

An exotic menu is crafted by established chef Adam Dundas Taylor, who has previously worked in top end restaurants  Nobu, Jamie Olivers 15 and Hugos.

The cuisine can be best  described as a fusion of South East Asian and Polynesian food which takes you back to the era of the 40’s and 50’s when food from the South Pacific was the all the trend for Hollywood’s blossoming movie industry.

Well known designer, Sean Finlay has brought out the Tiki era decor at the Kong’s characterised by a typical set up involving flaming torches, rattan furniture, flower leis and brightly coloured fabrics. Finlay’s portfolio includes designing, managing and promoting sucessful restarant bars including Grand Pacific Ballroom and product launches for brands such as Absolut, Lexus and many more.   

Kong’s Jungle Lounge is located at 110 Spring street Bondi Junction and is open from 5pm till 12pm Tuesday to Wednesday and 5pm till late Thursday to Saturday.
