Sydney Hilton to Host Fetus Congress

Sydney will play host the three-day 25th ‘Fetus as a Patient’ International Congress, which kicks off tomorrow (Mar 6) at the Hilton.
The congress will focus on current developments and controversies in pre- and perinatal medicine. It will see more than 500 local and international healthcare professionals involved in the care of pregnant women and their babies descend on the harbour city.
The congress will also feature social functions, tours and harbour cruises that showcase Sydney as an international leisure destination.

It is expected to inject than $1.3 million into the local economy and will be managed by a Gold Member of BESydney, professional conference organiser ICMS.
The bid to host the congress was led by Doctor Andrew Ngu, Associate Professor Lachlan de Crespigny, and Doctor Jon Hyett, and won in conjunction with BESydney.

“A number of factors played a key role in Sydney being named as host of the event,” said BESydney CEO Jon Hutchinson. “In addition to our business event expertise and well-established operations, Sydney was also recognised for its leadership in the health care industry and its rare blend of natural attributes,” he said.
