Igloo Zoo, purveyors of fabulously frozen yoghurt, have launched Australia’s first ‘culture bars’ in Sydney, Victoria and the Gold Coast, creating a super-cool society’s throughout the country as a venue to chill, chat, and sample natural and nutritious delights.

Event organisers for groups who might be healthy-minded (or just love a sweet treat) will also find the venues a unique option for a bit of culinary teambuilding.

Igloo Zoos can be used for corporate events (perfect for product launches), team building activities, and special staff treats such as morning or afternoon teas. The concept is interactive, very healthy, and stylish.

Each store is designed as part of a complete brand experience. The glossy white epoxy floor looks as though it was poured from the yogurt machine, and even more so the curved banquette seating.

A limed timber screen meanders around the store, providing enclosure and warmth while referencing both the ‘zoo’ and ‘igloo’. Cork stools from Jasper Morrison and white Joe Colombo chairs complete the picture. This design concept has seen architect Byron George win the 2009 Australian Design Award for best retail store.

With the provision of free wireless internet, the latest music, and optimal surrounds Igloo Zoo have created place where people can hang out that is healthy and fun, rivaling any bar or café.
