Experience Seven Seasons

The Darwin Convention Centre invites you to become part of a journey that has been over 65,000 years in the making.

Inspired by the traditional Gulumoerrgin (Larrakia) seasons, the Darwin Convention Centre has developed its signature ‘Seven Seasons’ dining experience, designed to take delegates on a multi-sensory culinary journey.

To the Larrakia people, the Traditional Custodians of the Darwin region, and the land on which the Darwin Convention Centre stands, the year is not divided into four but seven seasons.

The Centre’s unique Seven Seasons menu has been carefully curated to showcase the vibrant flavours of each season, from the nutty richness of wattleseed, the deep citrus notes of Kakadu plum to the tropical sweetness of mango and fresh taste of locally caught barramundi and mud crab.

As each course is served, accompanying audio and visuals explain the significance of the corresponding Gulumoerrgin season, allowing delegates to be fully immersed in the sights, sounds and tastes of Larrakia Country.

To further enhance the cultural experience, live music and dance performances delivered by local organisations such as The Youth Mill and NT Dance Company can be added to the dining program.
