So, it seems fitting on its 20th Anniversary that ownership of the exclusive event space has come full circle, with the founding members taking tenure of the business as Spotless Group exits the hospitality arena.
Recognising the rarity of the contemporary city-edge space, with its prime Yarra River frontage, sweeping parkland and city views, central location and established team, the new leadership has taken the reins at an exciting time for the industry as business events, once again, take centre stage in Melbourne.
The key elements that have earnt Zinc its reputation as one of Melbourne’s most sought-after event spaces will remain; the core team, its passion for delivering a restaurant quality dining experience and a strong customer service ethos. However, the shift in ownership signifies an exciting new era, welcoming much-anticipated venue updates and a wealth of knowledge from industry stalwarts Ros Harvey, Kevin Greenhatch and Barnie Bouchaud.
Bouchaud comes on board to head up the Management team, bringing decades of high-end hospitality experience. Having previously been at the helm of a number of premier Melbourne event venues in addition to three highly successful restaurants, which combined, were awarded a whopping 17 Age Good Food Guide chefs hats, he will bring his fine dining expertise and love of celebration to Zinc.
