Hotel industry meets in Auckland for inaugural AHICE

Hosted by HM Magazine, the two-day conference has welcomed more than 450 delegates for site tours, insightful panel discussions and more.

The inaugural Aotearoa Hotel Industry Conference & Exhibition (AHICE) kicked off in Auckland yesterday, welcoming more than 450 delegates.

Hosted by HM magazine and Hotel Council Aotearoa, the two-day event commenced with a number of site tours of some of the city’s newest hotels, including Four Points by Sheraton Auckland, Holiday Inn Express Auckland City Centre, Mercure Auckland Queen Street and voco Auckland. The recently refurbished Cordis Auckland was also able to show off its new look and feel with a networking event held there in the evening.

The second and final day is the conference, which is taking place at Pullman Auckland. It features a strong lineup of more than 50 speakers, including leading executives and hoteliers from New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong, who will take part in insightful Q&As and panel discussions covering everything from hotel investment to sustainability, F&B trends, hot brands, market outlook, cultural leadership and more.

“We have put together what I think is an exceptional program that features many evocative, educational and insightful keynote speakers, Q&As and panel sessions, and I can’t wait to hear the discussion during the event,” AHICE convenor and chair, James Wilkinson, said.

An official gala reception presented by Accor will be held at Pullman Auckland Hotel to conclude AHICE 2022.
