Atelier Ace to open Ace Hotel Sydney

The design-driven boutique hotel will be housed within a historic factory in Surry Hills.

American boutique hotel chain Atelier Ace is set to make its mark in Australia for the first time with the opening of Ace Hotel Sydney early next year.

Located in Surry Hills, the 264-room hotel will be housed within the historic Tyne House brick factory, with a ground floor restaurant, bar and café in the communal lobby, and a rooftop restaurant and bar.

Appointing Flack Studio as its primary design partner, Atelier Ace has drawn from the history of Surry Hills and the colour palette of the Australian landscape to lead the hotel’s design. The city’s eras, evolutions and communities throughout the decades have inspired the contrast of natural textures and tones.

Many furnishings, artworks and interior details were created specifically for the new hotel, with guest room furniture, joinery and lighting all custom-designed by Flack Studio.

Ace Hotel will start taking reservations from 1 May 2022, with full details regarding food and beverage options to be announced in the coming months.
