Sydney Harbour Yacht Charter has this month celebrated its 20th year of hosting luxury events on Sydney Harbour.
In its 20 years, the luxury charter boat company has welcomed many well-known faces on board, including The Prince of Wales, George W. Bush, Richard Branson, Will Ferrell, Robert De Niro, Elton John, Michael Jackson and Tom Cruise, to name a few.
The company’s two vessels, the 92-foot A.Q.A. and 65-foot State of the Art, have recently undergone refurbishments totaling almost $750,000.
Specialising in high-end corporate events, Sydney Harbour Yacht Charter has hosted brands such as NOVA Entertainment, Jose Cuervo Tequila, Virgin Money, the Invictus Games, United Airlines and THALES.
General manager and senior captain Simon Loneragan said he is proud of the calibre of clients and events the company has hosted over the last two decades.
“We have built our reputation on our experience in luxury yacht charters, plus our knowledge of Sydney Harbour,” he said.
“With two vessels available that adapt for numerous styles of events, we believe we provide unequalled versatility for hosting on Sydney Harbour.”
This year, almost $500,000 was spent upgrading A.Q.A., which included new furnishings, updates to the commercial galley, a full rebuild of the bow sunbed and lounge furnishings, new timber flooring and an entire navigation equipment upgrade. Meanwhile, around $250,000 was spent renovating State of the Art.
“This significant investment in the quality finishes, structures and safety of both vessels demonstrates our commitment to providing a contemporary, world-class corporate and private event venue for both local and international guests to enjoy,” said Loneragan.
A.Q.A. can accommodate up to 65 guests for cocktails, casual buffet dining for 45 people, or up to 40 people for formal dining.
It features a main lounge, sky lounge, large top deck, as well as three bedrooms with ensuites.
State of the Art is designed specifically for luxury day or night cruising and can accommodate 35 people for cocktail cruising, casual buffet dining for 25, and formal dining for up to 20 people.
