Sydney’s Slide Gets Saucy

A showcase of Sydney's best live entertainment ranging from burlesque, cabaret and dance was unveiled to a private audience of over 300 last night at ultra glam venue, Slide.


A showcase of Sydney’s best live entertainment ranging from burlesque, cabaret, circus and dance was unveiled to a private audience of over 300 last night, (3 Feb) at ultra glam venue, Slide.


The event launched the wide range of entertainment set to be available at Slide throughout 2010.

A hidden gem housed in a spectacular art deco building on the popular Oxford St strip, guests were welcomed to Slide by host Yumi Stynes – recently announced as part of the line up on Network Ten’s new programme The Circle.

Stynes introduced performances by a range of acts that included legendary performer Barry Crocker, sultry blues and jazz singer Christa Hughes who was previously the front woman for Australian band Machine Gun Fellatio, magician Adam Mada who will soon appear on Channel 9 show The Real Hustle, Suzie Q, one of Australia’s most well-known burlesque performers, the engaging and unique El Circo hosted by ex-MTV host Verushka Darling and the traditional burlesque show Risque.


The evening saw a wide range of entertainment showcased in the unique art deco venue

All guests enjoyed G.H. MUMM Champagne, Smirnoff cocktails and James Boags Pure beer while they experienced the best of Slide’s entertainment line-up for 2010.

VIP guests and entertainers also included host Yumi Stynes (from Network Ten’s new show The Circle), Verushka Darling (ex-MTV host of Verushka’s Closet), Manu Feildel (Channel 7’s My Kitchen Rules), and Charli Delaney (ex-Hi-F and announcer on 2Day FM).

 
Over 300 guests including media, corporate event organisers and venue VIPS were entertained throughout the evening.
