Off-Site Connections showcases Australia at World Expo

While Shanghai is in the world spotlight with World Expo 2010 the Off-Site Connections event management team, have staged a myriad of events for Australian businesses with many more to come.


Shanghai is in the world spotlight since World Expo 2010 officially opened on 1 May 2010 and the Off-Site Connections event management (OSC) team, have had a busy month staging a myriad of events for Australian businesses with many more to be staged over the next five months.

World Expo provides a unique platform to help strengthen business, cultural and people to people links for Australian business and government sectors with China.

“It’s hard not to get excited about this amazing showcase of the world. It has put Shanghai in the world spotlight and allowed it to shine as a very sophisticated city, rich with history and culture,” said Off-Site Connections managing director, Peter Kinnane.

“Our team have been proud to work with a number of Australian companies including Qantas, BlueScope Steel, The AFL, the Australian and State Governments; including AusTrade, the Victorian Government and Tourism Australia, bringing Australia to the forefront of this world event and providing a platform to provide business opportunities and relationships between these two countries.”

OSC have delivered a number of events over the past five weeks from cocktail soirees, lunch and dinner events hosted at the Australian Pavilion, through to events promoting Victorian Food and Wine to importers and food and wine specialists and a promotion of AFL to the Chinese with a focus on the upcoming clash between Brisbane Lions and Melbourne Demons to be played in Shanghai in October.

OSC celebrates 15 years in operation this year and have been specialists delivering a variety of special events, conference design and production, incentive day experiences, road shows and product launches across Australia and Asia since the company was founded by Kinnane, in Brisbane in 1995.

The OSC portfolio includes offices in Australia (Brisbane, Sydney, Gold Coast and Cairns) and in the Greater China region with Shanghai, Beijing and Macau offices working across China and through-out the Asia region.
