MTV’s annual Summer of Music event took place at the Sydney Town Hall for the second year running.
Led by ‘MTV’s Summer of Music’s on-air campaign’, the event was designed and produced by Luke Shave, Director at Five Peas, freelance Creative Producer Elly Wright and in collaboration with the MTV Creatives Team headed by Vanessa Zuppicich.
Bespoke content was used to transition the space throughout the night and to create different moods and scenes as the evening progressed.
The set design included 18 custom-built clouds, the largest measuring 3m in length. Via a carefully orchestrated truss and rigging system, the clouds hung low in the room, as if guests could almost reach up and touch the sky.
The room featured over 70 moving lights and a custom projections. Layers of depth on stage were created with a huge rear white cyc, offset by 6m truss circles interlaced with white scrim.
Event furniture featured custom built bar fronts, themed MTV Summer vignettes for photo opportunities, Astroturf clad couches and ottomans and drop tables, with a Hills Hoist as a feature on the main floor.
