Over 400 delegates will converge on Kuala Lumpur this week for the MEA 2014 Annual National Conference.

Held over three days, the conference will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in the heart of the city. This is the first time the event has been held outside Australia since the Hong Kong conference in 2000. The event will give the attendees the opportunity to expand their business knowledge on an international level.

MEA2014 will include an ‘Essentials in Meetings Management Training’ program, attended by more than 40 business events professionals out of Asia.

Thirty speakers from Australia, Asia and Europe are presenting at this year’s conference that will include a mixture of plenary and ‘Deep Dive’ sessions. This year MEA is giving attendees the opportunity to attend ten minute ‘thought starter’ sessions so that they can better choose the right ‘Deep Dive’ sessions to participate in.

The conference wraps up with the annual MEA Gala Dinner and Awards Presentation, celebrating the excellent work of 57 finalists. This year’s event will include a seven course meal comprising of Malaysian, Chinese and Indian cuisine, a demonstration of the major cultural influences in Malaysia.

MEA2014’s social event program will showcase Kuala Lumpur’s entertainment locations, including a welcome reception at Saloma Theatre Restaurant, casual dining at Feast Village and this year’s ClubMEA located at the spectacular SkyBar.

MEA has launched an app for this year’s conference and the twitter hashtag is #MEAKL2014.

See you all there!
