The NSW Wine Industry Association will be hosting a series of events to showcase NSW wines to the press, trade and consumers to follow on from the success of the NSW Wine Week earlier this year.

The highlight of this program will be ‘NSW Wine @ Wharf 8’ — an expo to be held on October 22 at Hickson Rd, Sydney.

Attendees will have the chance to sample wine from more than 45 wineries across the state and meet the winemakers.

Peter Logan, winemaker at Logan Wines in Mudgee, said the event was a fantastic way for NSW vineyards to showcase their wines.

“[It] presents an excellent opportunity for brand exposure for Logan, but we’re also participating because we think it’s important to champion NSW wine regions and for these regions to present a united front,” he said. “We think it’s time NSW wineries as a group lift their profile in Sydney — arguably the most important market in Australia, and the least parochial.”

Tickets are $35 per person and include all wine tasting, a wine glass and gourmet cheese. Entry is free for media and trade, but pre-registration is essential.
