Fun idea: Host your breakfast meeting in an igloo

Sydney's famed winter igloos are becoming a hot spot for corporate events.

As winter sets in, Pier One Sydney Harbour’s pop-up igloo experience is becoming a hot spot to beat the chill.

A favourite among travellers and locals, Igloos On The Pier has also garnered high interest from corporate groups who are looking for an out-of-the-box venue for a meeting or event.

Choose from an all-white Snow Globe igloo floating on the water, a private dining igloo within the signature restaurant or one of the luxe igloos that line the pier.

To cater for high demand for meetings and events, Pier One has launched a new breakfast igloo this year, perfect for early morning meetings.

Enjoy a share-style breakfast table with a delicious array of fruits, pastries, yoghurt, granola and a mimosa on arrival. Guests can also choose hot menu items such as eggs, sausages, hash browns and more.

Choose your igloo

For the first time, guests can sleep within an igloo under the stars as Pier One transforms the Harbour View Balcony Suite (Room 216) into the Dream Igloo Suite.

Meanwhile, The Snow Globe is located on the hotel’s floating Harbour pontoon and features a snow machine, wintery lighting and soft floor cushions.

For a private dining room with a difference, The Gantry Dining Igloo is new in 2019 and offers a hatted-restaurant dining experience for up to six people in Pier One’s signature restaurant The Gantry.

Head chef Thom Gorringe has created a seasonal menu that showcases Australian ingredients with a focus on sustainability and ethical produce.

The Snow Globe

For a more traditional experience, the Winter Luxe Igloos are situated along the pier and can host groups of up to 20 people.

Decked out with faux furs and rugs, fairy lights and heaters, they’re the ultimate winter drinking and dining destination.

Pier One Sydney Harbour‘s pop-up igloos are available to hire until 31 August 2019, but get in quick as spots are booking up fast!
