As the events industry hits peak season in late 2025, AV1 is reinforcing its commitment to community with a series of purpose-led events.
As a certified B Corporation (B Corp), the AV production company aims to operate as a business that benefits people and the planet.
To that end, AV1 has signed on as a partner of food rescue organisation OzHarvest and will be creative production partner for its CEO CookOff in October 2025.
AV1 will add its expertise to OzHarvest’s Sydney HQ event space to bring it to life and help OzHarvest raise awareness and funds to fight food waste and hunger.
“We’re passionate about making a positive impact wherever we can,” says Nigel Mintern, managing director, AV1.
“Partnering with OzHarvest on the CEO CookOff allows us to do what we do best – produce extraordinary events – while helping to tackle food insecurity to the tune of 200,000 meals and support an organisation we deeply admire.”
OzHarvest founder Ronni Kahn welcomes the collaboration.
“Having AV1 onboard as our creative production partner for the CEO CookOff means we can deliver an unforgettable experience for our supporters and raise vital funds to feed people in need,” she says.
“Their commitment to community and B Corp status aligns perfectly with our mission.”
A focus on community runs across AV1’s 2025 calendar.
In September, the company provided sponsored support to the Australian Native Food Festival, Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Can4Cancer run (pictured, at top) and Barker Fair.
Looking ahead, AV1 will partner with B Lab to deliver its Assembly Conference for the B Corp community in Glenworth Valley on 20-22 October 2025, and is supporting the NSW Sustainability Awards in December for the third consecutive year.
