PCEC appoints new general manager venue operations

The former director of corporate and events services will now be responsible for the effective leadership and management of all venue operations and resources within PCEC.

Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) has announced Kendra Naidoo, former director of corporate and events services, as its new general manager venue operations.

Naidoo will work alongside PCEC general manager Nigel Keen and be responsible for the effective leadership and management of all venue operations and resources within PCEC.

An accomplished professional, Naidoo’s career highlights include Marvel Stadium, HBF Park and five years as venue manager at Perth Zoo, where she won Venue Caterer of the Year WA for the Restaurant and Catering Industry Association of Australia.

Naidoo said she looks forward to building a strong relationship with PCEC clients and working collaboratively to ensure the Centre delivers on its promises, whilst providing excellence in customer service.

“I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to step into this new role. Nigel has been an exceptional role model and mentor for me over the past 10 years and I am thrilled to continue working with him, in leading our team, which we have focused on rebuilding since the effects of COVID-19,” Naidoo said.

During her time as PCEC director of corporate and events services, Kendra provided invaluable support to the senior management team offering leadership and direction across the events and hospitality service departments.

“For the past five years, since joining PCEC, Kendra has been responsible for overseeing the hospitality service and events management, whilst consistently supporting myself with corporate service. I’m delighted to have Kendra leading our team into the next phase of growth for our venue and our city,” Keen said.
