New Melbourne eGuide released for event planners

Melbourne Convention Bureau has unveiled its latest interactive Melbourne eGuide for event planners and delegates, featuring the Victorian capital’s sustainable suppliers, products and experiences.

Included in the free Melbourne eGuide are business events offerings such as carbon-neutral certified suppliers; leading dining options advocating the circular food economy with sustainable sourced produce; and upcoming environmentally responsible hotels built with reclaimed and recycled materials.

“Event planners are increasingly seeking to integrate sustainable options into their programs,” says Melbourne Convention Bureau chief executive Julia Swanson.

“Melbourne Convention Bureau works hard to prioritise sustainability efforts within the business events industry, and we hope the special fourth edition Melbourne eGuide will help inspire planners to reimagine their events with sustainability at the forefront of their planning.”

Melbourne is currently the top sustainable city in Australia for business events in the Global Destination Sustainability Index.

“At Melbourne Convention Bureau, we encourage event organisers to integrate concepts that focus on broader social and economic outcomes when hosting events in Melbourne,” says Swanson.
