MCEC offers 360-degree virtual tours on new website

The major relaunch also includes deeper information and accessibility features

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has launched a new website, with a new major innovation driving towards its goal of “developing an omnichannel customer experience.”

The new website includes 360-degree virtual tours, filmed by SmartView Media, a leader in virtual tours.

MCEC claims that with 20 per cent of the current visitors to its website coming from overseas, these virtual tours will be an opportunity to give potential clients the opportunity to explore MCEC’s environments.

“The website is the first touchpoint for our customers and our visitors, and we wanted it to reflect the exceptional experiences they receive inside our venue,” MCEC head of marketing, Liz Kozmevski, said.

“We are thrilled to launch this new user-friendly platform that not only aligns with our brand, but also provides valuable resources to our customers, helping to deliver a seamless event experience.”

MCEC has used the website relaunch to update its digital presence in other areas too. The new website provides deeper information on the facilities available and additional resources to help customers plan events, at the Centre and elsewhere in Melbourne.

Finally, the website has been made more accessible, with a better user experience when browsing on smartphones and tablets and has accessibility features such as screen readers.
