Porsche Club Indonesia celebrated its 50th Anniversary in style at AYANA Resort and Spa Bali on 10 May 2013, with an exclusive ultra-glam dinner at the resort’s cliff-top venue over the Indian Ocean.

Guests arrived in a convoy of Porsche glamour after a scenic group drive to Pura Ulundanu temple in Bedugul, central Bali.

Limited to only 60 invited Porsche enthusiasts from Jakarta, Surabaya and Bali, the exclusive dinner was held at AYANA’s cliff-edge Chandra Surya lawn, with views across the ocean to a Bali sunset.

The evening started with a welcome address by Club President Patrick Widjaja followed by the screening of a video about the debut of the original Porsche model, Type 911, which first hit the streets in 1963.

The event was dedicated to the first Porsche model, and officially named the Porsche Indonesia ‘911’ 50th Anniversary Dinner. The anniversary drive to Bali also included a visit and fundraising event at Wana Seraya shelter for elderly people in Denpasar, as part of the 4-day Porsche Club Bali Drive held from 9-12 May 2013.

Porsche Club was first established in 1952, Germany. Currently there are total of 620 registered authorized Porsche Clubs scattered all over the world with estimated total of 180,000 Porsche members. Porsche Club Indonesia (PCI) was inaugurated on 26 February 2011 as an independent club consisting of exclusive Porsche owners who share the same common interests, values, passions, and visions that are ‘Porsche’.

Limited to 60 invited guests, the exclusive dinner was held at AYANA’s cliff-edge Chandra Surya lawn, with views across the ocean to a Bali sunset.

The event comes shortly after AYANA upgraded its MICE facilities, with a Ballroom extension to increase capacity by 80 percent to 900 people and six new break-out rooms including a 150-person high-tech state of the art auditorium.

This upgrade is strategically timed ahead of the launch of AYANA’s sister resort, RIMBA Jimbaran Bali, a 297-room resort within the 77-hectare Karang Mas Estate.
