Hosted Buyer applications now open for BEIA’s MEETINGS 2022

The "unmissable" event will be held at the newly opened Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre on 15 and 16 June.

Hosted Buyer applications have opened for Business Events Industry Aotearoa’s (BEIA) MEETINGS 2022, which will be held at the newly opened Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre on 15 and 16 June.

Recognised for 25 years as New Zealand’s flagship business events tradeshow, BEIA chief executive Lisa Hopkins said the two-day event is unmissable for anyone in the business events industry.

“After 2021’s hugely successful show, MEETINGS will again be the must-attend event for 2022,” Hopkins said.

“We are inviting anyone planning conferences, product launches, incentive experiences, roadshows, and team-building events in Aotearoa New Zealand to apply.”

Across the two days, buyers can pre-schedule appointments with their choice of more than 150 exhibitors from 18 regions across New Zealand. They also have the choice of either a two-day appointment diary, or a one-day programme designed to make effective use of their time.

In addition to the personalised appointment diary, the Hosted Buyer experience includes complimentary air travel, accommodation, registration, and tickets to the opening ceremony, welcome function and gala celebration. They will also be invited to attend the Celebrity Speakers’ Showcase, Tourism New Zealand’s Regional Showcase, and professional development sessions.

Australian Hosted Buyers can extend their stay and arrive the weekend prior to MEETINGS 2022 to experience more of what New Zealand has to offer.

As the host city, Christchurch is offering a weekend famil giving visitors a deep dive into the city and surrounding regions, while other pre-famil options include Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Rotorua, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, Marlborough, Queenstown and Dunedin.

Hosted Buyer applications close on 14 April 2022, and a limited number of spaces are available.
