Hosting 50 business event organisers and decision-makers from across Australia and New Zealand, This is Gold Coast (TIGC) will run from 4-7 August 2025, spotlighting the region’s top venues, immersive experiences and popular destinations.
The multi-day program has become a cornerstone of the Gold Coast’s visitation initiatives and promotion of the city to drive its midweek visitor economy.
“This year’s event is expected to generate more than $35 million in national and international business event leads, which is testament to our team, our industry partners and our city’s business event offerings,” says Avril Harris, executive director of events at Experience Gold Coast.
“TIGC is more than a showcase – it’s an invitation to experience the Gold Coast at its best, as well as connect, collaborate and discover new possibilities.”
This is Gold Coast 2025 will offer interactive site inspections of premier conferencing and events venues, as well as immersive experiences that celebrate the region’s lifestyle, cultural diversity and natural beauty.
Delegates will connect with local suppliers and industry professionals while gaining behind-the-scenes insights into how the city delivers conferences and events.
“The Gold Coast has the natural advantage [of being] positioned between 57km of stunning coastline and 100,000 hectares of ancient rainforest, with more than half of the city made up of green and open spaces,” says Brooke Campbell, director of business events at Experience Gold Coast.
“Sustainability and nature-based experiences are playing a bigger role than ever, and the City of Gold Coast’s new tourism grants reinforce our ongoing commitment to preserving our rich natural heritage while meeting growing demand from global travellers for environmentally and culturally responsible experiences.”
According to the Queensland Business Events Survey (QBES), more than half of all business events held in Queensland take place on the Gold Coast.
This year’s program includes a full-day tradeshow at RACV Royal Pines Resort, with scheduled business appointments with more than 40 industry partners, plus networking events and activations.
