EEAA reveals panel for International Women’s Day event

The annual event will address themes such as leadership, defying stereotypes and women’s heart health.

Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has announced the speaker line up for its 2019 International Women’s Day Breakfast in Sydney.

The annual breakfast will be held on Thursday, 7 March 2019 at  Doltone House Hyde Park and will address the themes of women in leadership, women defying stereotypes and women’s heart health and wellbeing.

The 2019 panel will comprise Professor Clara Chow, a pioneering researcher and acclaimed internationally for her work on heart disease; Bruce Baird AM, chairman of Business Events Sydney; Supriya Shakya, head of digital at Reed Exhibitions Australia; Lynell Peck, director of culinary at ICC Sydney; and Georgie Chapman-Burgess, operations manager at Exhibitions and Trade Fairs.

“It has been five years since we first introduced this event at Doltone House,” said EEAA chief executive Joyce DiMascio.

“It is one of our most popular events and I am honoured to announce the illustrious panel for 2019.

“Each person chosen for this important event will show us through their achievements how ‘balance’ leads to better outcomes – at home, the workplace and in the community.

“#BalanceForBetter is the campaign message set by UN Women for International Women’s Day 2019 and we are very pleased to support this global initiative and message.”

EEAA will also be supporting the Heart Foundation and Fitted for Work and invites attendees to bring along donations of good quality corporate clothing, shoes and accessories to help disadvantaged women return to the workforce.
