ParkRoyal Darling Harbour, Sydney Hotel has embarked on a multi-million dollar refurbishment which will include the hotel's guest rooms as well as the club lounge and lobby.

ParkRoyal Darling Harbour, Sydney Hotel has embarked on a multi-million dollar refurbishment which will include the hotel’s guest rooms as well as the club lounge and lobby.

Expected to be completed in late September 2012, the refurbishment is inspired by today’s travellers, their needs and expectations. It will feature enhancements that complement the brand while providing a unique character that is in harmony with its iconic Australian location.

The overall design concept introduces a vibrant and fresh new colour palette that represents the natural Sydney surrounds – from beach to bush landscape. Neutral greys are highlighted against fresh blues and greens to create a sanctuary within the urban context. Located on the city-side of Darling Harbour and only minutes away from the Sydney Convention and Entertainment Centre, George Street, Chinatown and the Queen Victoria Building, the revitalised hotel will reflect the individuality of its location and provide a modern, comfortable and supportive guest environment in line
with the brand.

The refurbishment will also incorporate the latest technology and innovation to deliver an enriched level of comfort and convenience.

The hotel’s Club Lounge provides an enhanced business experience which offers a host of personal privileges including priority check-in and check-out, complimentary laundry services and regular refreshments throughout the day. The refurbishment will introduce a warm and comfortable residential theme with a menu of different environments, making it more pleasurable to do business.

The refreshed lobby is part of the refurbishment, expected to be complete in late September 2012.

“Prior to commencing the refurbishment project, it was important that we listen to our guests and their expectations. The refreshed concepts and features are supported through guest feedback via our Internal Customer Satisfaction Questionnaire, customer insights from Trip Advisor and research on what today’s traveller expects from a hotel experience, ” said Craig Bond, general manager of ParkRoyal Darling Harbour, Sydney and area general manager –Oceania, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.
