ICC Sydney joins in on Vivid fun

The mega venue has brought its own distinct artwork to the Vivid display along Darling Harbour.

The International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) has unveiled a precinct-wide Vivid display across its 19, seven-metre high digital blades and ICC Sydney Theatre’s 250sqm digital entry screen.

Launched in partnership with Destination NSW,  The exciting installation features custom Vivid Sydney artwork alongside event, community and wayfinding information.

Geoff Donaghy, CEO of ICC Sydney, said they were “proud” to make their Vivid Sydney debut.

“Our artwork uses texture, colour and movement to unify the light of Darling Harbour, Tumbalong Green and the Darling Quarter Precinct and gives guests a glimpse of the industry leading technology featured throughout ICC Sydney. The creative will be interspersed with directions during major events ensuring visitors can enjoy our contribution to the festival, while easily reaching their desired destination within the venue.”

According to Chief Executive Officer Destination NSW and Executive Producer Vivid Sydney Sandra Chipchase, the AU$1.5 billion centrepiece of the AU$3.4 billion revitalisation of Darling Harbour is perfectly positioned to enhance the Darling Harbour precinct of Vivid Sydney.

“Vivid Sydney is the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas, celebrating art and technology on a grand scale to visitors from around the world. It’s fitting that this year for the first time, the Festival’s light shines at the world-class ICC Sydney, for global guests and local communities to enjoy,” Ms Chipchase said.
