Hawaiian Airlines has topped a magazine poll

In its latest edition, Choice published the results of a survey of 9000 respondents, who were asked to rate their last international flight, based on a range of criteria.

Hawaiian was ranked number three overall out of eight surveyed airlines offering flights from Australia to the USA. And of the six carriers offering nonstop flights from Australia to the USA during the survey period, Hawaiian was ranked number two overall after V Australia and ahead of Qantas, Jetstar, United and American – the latter offering code shared service on a partner airline.

Hawaiian also was rated highly among the airlines offering service from Australia to the USA on cost (equal number two with Air New Zealand) and number three on legroom, seat comfort, baggage allowance, punctuality and check-in.

“Hawaiian is a destination-focused carrier, offering nonstop service between Sydney and Honolulu, and beyond to the neighbour islands and 10 cities on the US mainland,” said Hawaiian’s general manager, sales and marketing, Australia, Sherilyn Robinson.

“To be rated ahead of both other carriers flying to Hawaii (Jetstar and Qantas), and be ranked so well by consumers against a range of much larger carriers flying to the USA is very encouraging, and demonstrates that Australians know and like the product we offer,”  Robinson said.

“As we introduce our new Airbus A330 aircraft, we will progressively upgrade the standard of service we offer in markets including Australia, as well as the number of destinations to which we fly,” she said.

In addition to competitive air fares, Hawaiian includes meals, refreshments, main screen entertainment and authentic Hawaiian hospitality on its flights from Australia. The airline also offers every passenger from Australia a generous free luggage allowance of two checked items, each weighing up to 32 kilograms.
