Grey Goose vodka and Virgin Atlantic have today announced the opening of the world’s best airport bar – the Grey Goose Loft at the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at London Heathrow.

World renowned DJ Pete Tong opened the Grey Goose Loft playing a set to Upper Class passengers and paving the way for future guest DJs to play in the lounge.

A perfect partnership: Grey Goose Vodka and the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse.

The luxurious bar is located on the upper deck of the Clubhouse and will offer Virgin Atlantic Upper Class passengers a bespoke experience and a level of service which until now could only be enjoyed in the top cocktail bars in the world.

On arrival, each traveller is presented with a freshly prepared amuse-bouche to whet their appetite. The Loft’s team of professional mixologists from some of London’s best bars will then set about creating a tailor-made Grey Goose cocktail to suit each guest’s own particular taste preferences. If a guest would like to continue their cocktail odyssey at their destination, the team will happily give personal bar recommendations for wherever they are travelling.

While the look of the Grey Goose Loft is perfectly in keeping with the trademark style of the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, it makes a statement all of its own. The Grey Goose Loft is a celebration of the best in new design with individual items of furniture created by some of Europe’s most talented young designers. They include a UK premiere for the Mollis lounge chair, by Swedish design duo, Jonas Nordgren and Artur Moustafa of RVW. Integrated into the design of the bar itself is a DJ booth where guest DJs will set the mood to accompany the incredible cocktails on offer.

“The Grey Goose project really exudes our Clubhouse vision of creating memorable experiences for our customers to enjoy and continue talking about when they leave for their destination,” said Clare Bacchus, head of Clubhouses at Virgin Atlantic.

“The fact that they will be able to spend time with some of London’s finest mixologists in a fabulous environment created by Grey Goose gives Virgin Atlantic another cutting edge style of service. We are looking forward to expanding this partnership further afield to our other Clubhouses and also on board our aircraft.”

“When we set out to offer Virgin Atlantic Upper Class passengers a truly unique and exceptional experience, we knew we were setting the bar high. In partnering with Virgin Atlantic, this has literally been the case with the Grey Goose Loft positioned in a stunning setting above the Clubhouse,” Grey Goose spokesperson, Allison Mitchell said.

“We believe that the Grey Goose Loft offers an escape for travellers, where they will have the opportunity to enjoy a ‘personal taste’ experience and a reflection of Grey Goose, in the best of service and style. A traveller experience unlike any other airport bar in the world.”

The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at Heathrow has an established reputation for providing the ultimate pre-flight experience for every passenger with an array of exciting and unique areas. Passengers can enjoy a stylish haircut at the Bumble and bumble salon; relax in the spa pool or sauna; choose from a range of treatments at the Cowshed Spa; enjoy a game of pool in the Den or a drink or choose from the extensive Brasserie menu whilst enjoying a Grey Goose amuse-bouche or a refreshing Grey Goose Le Pressé (Grey Goose vodka, freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar and soda water) served on a silver tray and mixed to your own personal taste.

Over the coming months Virgin Atlantic Upper Class passengers can look forward to a series of special events being held in the Grey Goose Loft as Grey Goose celebrates its partnerships with the world’s best in art, music, fashion and film.
