Air India is back online with direct flights to Australia

Air India (AI) has launched direct services from Delhi to Sydney and Melbourne. Its Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the first of its kind to hit an Australian runway on a passenger flight, touched down in Mascot last Friday.


Air India (AI) has launched direct services from Delhi to Sydney and Melbourne. Its Boeing 787 Dreamliner – the first of its kind to hit an Australian runway on a passenger flight – touched down at Mascot last Friday.

This is the beginning of a planned period of rapid growth and it is expected that the airline will operate daily services into both cities within six months’ time.
