New GM appointments across TFE Hotels

Many of the changes will see staff step up into larger properties across the portfolio.

TFE Hotels has announced a raft of general manager appointments across its Australian and New Zealand network.

Emma Sutherland and Nigel Maxey lead a number of changes within the hotel group with new general managers being appointed.

Ms Sutherland takes on her first GM role at Vibe Hotel Sydney Darling Harbour after starting with the company in 2017.

Over the past year she has taken on secondment roles as Executive Assistant Manager and Acting Hotel General Manager at A by Adina Sydney.

Nigel Maxey has been appointed GM of Vibe Hotel Melbourne Docklands. He has been with the company for six years and most recently as the Cluster General Manager for Adina Melbourne on Flinders and Adina Melbourne. He was previously GM of Adina Southbank.

TFE Hotels’ Senior Director of Operations ANZ, Tish Nyar, said several of his team will be making significant moves into larger, more complex properties.

“Their development over the past few years in strategic management and proving their abilities in managing complex challenging operational issues has placed them in the optimal position to take on these new positions,” he said.

“I am looking forward to seeing what they will bring to their new operations in the years to come.”

Christian Price has been appointed GM for TFE Hotels’ five brands at the redeveloped $1b Pentridge lifestyle precinct in Coburg, north of Melbourne.

He’ll look after The Interlude, Adina Apartment Hotels Melbourne Pentridge, North & Common, Olivine and Chapter Place events.

In other appointments, Lucy Ockleston will take on the GM role of a number of Darwin properties, Diana Quinones-Silva (pictured, above) will become GM of Hotel Kurrajong in Canberra.

Andrew Edwards is appointed GM of Quincy Hotel Melbourne, Ben Saxton is GM at A by Adina Canberra, Sid Bhatia leads Vibe Hotel Gold Coast and Jolanta Prusek becomes GM at Adina Apartment Hotel Surry Hills in Sydney.
