5 reasons why you should attend Events Uncovered

The countdown is on to Events Uncovered, the event industry’s much-loved boutique expo and conference, taking place on 17 September 2020.

This year’s event is taking place at the COVID-safe location, SMC Conference & Function Centre, and is also open to virtual attendees anywhere in Australia.

If you’re yet to secure your ticket to this year’s event, here are 5 reasons why you should:

1//Free expo

The Events Uncovered expo is free to attend and will this year be open to in-person and virtual attendees.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet face to face with a select group of trusted industry suppliers and venues, to help get your future event planning underway.

This year’s exhibitors include Destination North Coast NSW, Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge, Musicland, Sydney Masonic Centre, Sprintr by AV1, Stamford Hotels and Saxton Speakers.

Event profs who visit the show in person will also receive the highly coveted Events Uncovered tote bag designed by Merchgirls, plus the latest copies of the A LIST Guide and Spice Magazine.

2//Industry update

Kicking off the 2020 Spice Knowledge Sessions at Events Uncovered, three industry leaders will take to the stage to share an update on the state of business events.

Robyn Johnson, CEO of Meetings and Events Australia; Claudia Sagripanti, chief executive of the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia, and Vanessa Findlay, chair of Business Events Council of Australia will gather for a panel discussion titled Adapting to the new normal.

This free session will cover pressing industry topics and questions relating to the recovery and future of business events.

3//Learn from the experts

Following the free session, the Spice Knowledge Sessions will continue with a three-part program full of inspirational and educational speakers.

With full-day and session tickets now available, the program will cover topics including safety and hygiene, legal, technology, health and wellbeing, sustainability, crisis management and more.

Speakers include Mark Bennedick (Sense Group) , Chelsea Pottenger (EQ Minds), Nicole Walker (Arinex), Nigel Ruffell (The Company We Keep), Bea Tomlin (Beaspoke Safety), Jeremy Fleming, (StageKings) and Natalie Simmons (cievents).

This year’s keynote speaker is sure to be a major highlight, with award-winning leadership strategist and author Shadé Zahrai set to take the stage.

Presented by Saxton Speakers, Shadé is renowned for her ability to infuse motivation, science and storytelling with practical strategies and solutions to shift mindsets and drive positive action in audiences.
