Trilogy Hotels to operate five-star Pullman Sydney Penrith

Trilogy Hotels and Panthers Group have signed a management agreement for the five-star Pullman Sydney Penrith.

Opened in August 2023, 153-room Pullman Sydney Penrith is owned by Panthers Group and is the western Sydney region’s first five-star hotel.

The agreement with independent hotel management company Trilogy Hotels – which was formed in 2023 by Scott Boyes, Grant Alchin and Tony Ryan – will see the company oversee operations for the hotel.

Panthers Group is one of Australia’s largest entertainment organisations with more than 125,000 members across five licensed premises. It employs 650 staff and owns three-time reigning NRL premiers the Penrith Panthers.

“Like Trilogy, Panthers Group understands and demonstrates the importance of bringing the best people together to achieve great things,” says Trilogy Hotels CEO Scott Boyes. “Together, we look forward to showcasing the very best of the west, adding value to our community and delivering an outstanding product and precinct for members, guests and delegates.

“It’s great to once again work with our partners, Accor. The hotel will continue to utilise Accor’s exceptional distribution capability, marketing and loyalty programs, and the iconic global presence of the Pullman brand.”

Panthers Group CEO Brian Fletcher says his company is pleased to be partnering with Trilogy Hotels.

“For us, this partnership means access to Trilogy Hotels’ unparalleled experience, professionalism and understanding of our needs, ensuring we can deliver exceptional experiences to our guests while maximising the potential of our properties,” he says.

“With Trilogy Hotels by our side, we are poised to elevate our offerings, enhance operational efficiency and drive sustainable growth in the dynamic hospitality industry.”

Michael Thomas is general manager of Pullman Sydney Penrith and Western Sydney Conference Centre. He brings more than 35 years’ experience working with Peninsula Group, Shangri La, Banyan Tree, Hilton and Accor.

“I am delighted to have relocated to the vibrant Western Sydney region to oversee Pullman Sydney Penrith and Western Sydney Conference Centre,” he says.

“Leveraging my extensive experience in luxury hotels, internationally and in Australia, I’m eager to help drive the development of these properties, while positively impacting and enhancing the local community.”
