Fresh Catering has announced the opening of Cornerstone Bar & Food at Carriageworks last Friday (10 May) unveiling their newest urban dining establishment for theatre patrons, as well as local residents and Sydneysiders.

In keeping with the quirky contemporary nature of its home at Redfern’s multi-arts institution, Carriageworks, the new bar and dining venue promises to be that little bit different with its mix of gritty industrial aesthetics combined with new life features.

Fresh Catering’s managing director, Peter McCloskey is excited about the company’s newest venture.

“Carriageworks is a unique and popular space for Sydney’s arts and dining patrons. The launch of Cornerstone Bar and Food will connect Sydney’s urban bar culture and contemporary arts together creating an experience that matches the uniqueness and excitement of the space.”

Accomplished Chef Leigh Nelson heads up the kitchen team following on from 16 years with leading catering companies and a number of Sydney restaurants.

There is a new, fully heated outdoor room extending seamlessly from the main area, with the entire space featuring state of the art sound and lighting. The bar will come alive with an exciting and unexpected mix of music adding to the ambience of Cornerstone Bar and Food. There will be weekly food and drink specials, promotions and free games such as pool and ping pong.

Seating capacity is up to 200 guests including both indoor and outdoor spaces.
