Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is serving up an elegantly ‘chilled’ party package in time for the festive season, launching its newest concept – The Igloo – for a Christmas celebration with a cool, arctic twist.

The hotel is located amidst the bustling restaurant and cafe precinct of cosmopolitan Broadbeach at the ‘Paris’ end of the glitter strip on the Gold Coast.

Step inside Sofitel Gold Coast’s coolest idea for holiday parties- The Igloo.

Offering a cool change to its otherwise hot beachside surrounds and facilities, Sofitel’s Igloo party package is priced from A$145 per person, with additional overnight accommodation available from A$180 per room per night.

“Queensland summers are notoriously hot, so we decided to offer a cool alternative for those wanting a Christmas party with a difference,” says Sofitel’s general manager Mark Wilkinson.

“Fun in The Igloo is compulsory – penguin suits are of course optional, depending on how formal our guests prefer their event to be.”

Igloo guests will enter Sofitel’s Grand Ballroom through a white, misty Eskimo-inspired tunnel into a transformed ice-like world. Sofitel continues the Igloo’s white mischief theme with feature shimmering table decorations, crisp white linen, white covered chairs, snow machine and ice sculpture to further provide sanctuary from the scorching summer heat.

Sofitel’s Igloo Christmas party package also includes an ‘Eskimo buffet’ featuring seafood, gourmet salads, roast meats, delicious desserts and a four hour beverage package. A dance floor and DJ are also included for those who want to dance the night away.
