Melbourne Luna Park to get an ‘arty’ new event centre.
The special feature of this building will be seven giant figures that will be erected around the outside of the structure. These carnival inspired characters are the work of local Melbourne artist Mark Ogge. He also created the 60-metre mural titled One Thousand and One Nights on the platform of the Park’s treasured Scenic Railway in 2008.
The new event centre will fit 120 seated and 150 standing inside, and the outdoor deck will fit 100 people stand-up for cocktails.
The new event centre officially opens on Wednesday 7 October, 2015.
