Schwartz spends $25 million on new property

The Schwartz Family Company has acquired a resort just around the corner from one of its most iconic conference venues.

The Schwartz Family Company has bought the Leura Gardens Resort from the Elanor Hotel Accommodation Fund for $25 million.

The new purchase is within a kilometre of the company’s other Blue Mountains properties, the Fairmont Resort and the Leura Golf Club.

Leura Gardens Resort is the 15th hotel in the Schwartz hotel network and is a 92-room hotel set on almost 20,000sqm of landscaped gardens.

Functions can be held in multiple conference and event spaces with a restaurant also on-site.

Schwartz Family Company Director, Dr Jerry Schwartz, said the Blue Mountains is one of the most popular destinations for conferences, events and retreats.

“Leura Gardens Resort’s 3.5-star accommodation will complement the 4.5-star accommodation at the Fairmont,” he said.

“Bringing these three venues together, we can offer a complete tourism solution.

“We can also offer multiple different venues for functions along with the renowned outdoor activities that the Blue Mountains is famous for.”

In February it was announced that Trilogy Hotels will take over management of the Fairmont Resort, pioneering the adoption of the independent hotel management model for investment-grade hotels in Australia.
