After a century of operation, Cabra-Vale Diggers club will rebrand to Cabravale Club Resort with a major renovation to encompass a new resort, Novotel hotel, multiple dining venues, a world-class events and conference centre, and renewed community focus.
Making the announcement at a recent gala dinner, the western Sydney venue has launched Cabravale Club Resort – Australia’s first integrated club resort.
At the gala, NSW Premier Chris Minns sent a video message praising the club’s century of service, highlighting its role in community connection and support.
Founded after World War I by returned servicemen, Cabra-Vale Diggers grew from a repurposed army hut into a central pillar of the western Sydney community.
Club president Walter Robinson OAM says the new name honours that legacy while signalling “a new era of greater opportunity, inclusion and connection”.
The centenary celebrations also launched Cabravale Community, which expands the club’s charitable reach, including a partnership with The Sebastian Foundation’s youth mental health program.
“Rebranding to Cabravale Club Resort is more than a name change – it’s a bold step forward,” says Vicki Le, chief commercial officer, Cabravale Club Resort.
“As western Sydney grows into a major hub for tourism and culture, we’re redefining what a modern club can be.
“This new identity reflects our ambition to lead and welcome, while staying true to our community roots.”
Cabravale Club Resort is open to members and the public during its transition, with the full vision for the property to be revealed in late 2025.
