The accolade is part of the 2025 Mid-Year Top 50 Worldwide Stadium rankings by Los Angeles-based concert and live music industry publication Pollstar.
Measured between 14 November 2024 and 14 May 2025, Pollstar ranks Marvel Stadium as number five in the world for highest-grossing stadiums, and number seven for highest stadium ticket sales.
During this period, Marvel Stadium hosted many major events, including more than 111,200 patrons for American country artist Luke Combs; 54,600 people for Green Day; more than 32,800 fans at the Aus X event; and 108,100 people for Pearl Jam, who performed at the venue in November 2024.
The milestone marks the first time Marvel Stadium – which is celebrating its 25th birthday in 2025 – has been recognised in the top five venues for grossing stadiums in the Pollstar ranking charts following its eighth position in the same list in 2023.
Marvel Stadium is the highest-ranked Australian venue in Pollstar’s top 50 stadiums, joining international venues in the top 10 ticket sales and grossing stadiums, including Mexico’s Estadio GNP Seguros, California’s SoFi Stadium and Japan’s Tokyo Dome.
“Marvel Stadium is incredibly proud to be recognised in Pollstar’s Mid-Year Top 50 Stadiums worldwide,” says Scott Fitzgerald, general manager, Marvel Stadium.
“To be named among the best stadiums on the global stage is testament to the investment and innovation that has gone into evolving Marvel Stadium into a world-class, 365-day multipurpose venue that is delivering unforgettable experiences for fans, artists and athletes.
“Events such as these would not be possible without the support of our world-class partners including Disney, Live Nation, Frontier, Ticketmaster and Delaware North who work tirelessly to attract the best in global entertainment and ensure our fans have amazing guest experiences at our venue.
“Melbourne is a city that lives and breathes sport and live entertainment, and we’re proud that Marvel Stadium continues to shine on the international stage and create experiences that rival the world’s best.”
