Major refurbishment and rebrand for heritage hotel

A NSW heritage hotel and spa is set for a multimillion-dollar refurbishment and emergence as a new-to-market brand.

Salter Brothers hospitality has announced Milton Park Country House Hotel & Spa, in the NSW Southern Highlands, will undergo major works to become the flagship property for the company’s new Ardour Hotels & Estates brand.

Once the $10 million transformation is complete, the estate will be known as Ardour Milton Park Bowral, where heritage meets contemporary luxury.

The Ardour Hotels & Estates brand is set to become a portfolio of immersive luxury retreats in some of Australia’s regional destinations, offering intimate events spaces, elevated dining and wellness facilities.

Established in 1910 as a grand country residence, Milton Park’s transformation – under creative direction of boutique Sydney design firm MAC Design Studio – will draw inspiration from European countryside manors as its reception, guest lounges, bar, billiards room, terraces and private dining areas are luxuriously refreshed while honouring the original architectural design.

Each of the 44 guest rooms at the Bowral property will include a mural feature.

“Milton Park has always held a special place in the hearts of so many people,” says Tash Tobias, CEO, Salter Brothers Hospitality.

“With the Ardour brand, we’re creating something that’s not just luxurious, but deeply meaningful – a place people will come back to year after year.

“This is a destination where time slows down and the extraordinary becomes part of the everyday.”

Refurbishment work is already underway, and the official opening of Ardour Milton Park Bowral is anticipated in early 2026.
