Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s latest eatery has opened its doors in the Sydney CBD with Jamie’s Italian.

Jamie’s Italian, designed by architecture and interior design company, peckvonhartel has opened its first Australian site at 107 Pitt St in Sydney bringing Oliver’s blend of authentic, quality Italian food  to one of the world’s food capitals. The new restaurant also means around 70 new hospitality jobs for the city.


Sydney has welcomed the opening of Jamie’s Italian located on Pitt St in the CBD.

With a spacious dining area for around 180 people on two levels and an eclectic mix of booths and colourful chairs,  Jamie’s Italian also features a pasta machine in the front window will produces fresh pasta daily to the entertainment of passing pedestrians. 

The menu offers a variety of pastas, Italian mains and antipasti made with well-sourced, fresh and organic ingredients.

“Australia has always been close to my heart since I first visited around a decade ago and I had a brilliant time when I was there last year,” said Jamie Oliver. “I get a lot of wonderful tweets and emails from Australians who have eaten at Jamie’s Italians in the UK so now to have a Jamie’s Italian open in Sydney is really special for me.”

“Australia is a country that Jamie’s been visiting for 10 years and he’s always been welcomed warmly,” said Simon Blagden, managing director, Jamie’s Italian International. “So it’s exciting that Jamie’s Italian is ready to launch in Sydney, which is one of the great cities of the world. Australians love going out and eating delicious food as much as anyone, so I’m sure Jamie’s Italian will appeal. It’s basically fantastic food and service at really good value.”


The mezzanine dining area also hosts a lively antipasti and dessert counter.

There is also a Jamie’s Italian in Dubai.
