First look: Art Series hotel set for Perth

Slated for an October opening, the hotel will boast 250 rooms and event space.

Accor will bring its Art Series brand to Perth this year, with the opening of a $90 million hotel in the CBD.

Slated to open in October 2019, the hotel marks the ninth Art Series hotel for the group and the first Art Series hotel for Western Australia.

The 27-storey property already stands tall at 900 Hay Street, following construction which commenced in November 2017.

Once complete, the hotel will boast 250 rooms, a signature restaurant with terrace, bar and lounge, ground floor café, swimming pool, gymnasium and a function room.

Artist’s impression of the new property

As with all Art Series properties, the Perth hotel will be named after an artist who will create custom artworks and prints to adorn the walls.

The new hotel joins a growing portfolio of Art Series properties in Australia, including The Fantauzzo which recently opened in Brisbane.

Accor chief operating officer Pacific, Simon McGrath, said the new hotel represents the group’s strategic growth plans for the Art Series brand.

“This announcement reflects the continued expansion and evolution of Australia’s only boutique hotel brand creating art inspired experiences for guests,” he said.

The hotel will also feature a pool deck and restaurant

“This Art Series hotel will be a truly world-class asset, which will help underpin a broader economic contribution to Perth.

“This major new asset will support the local tourism industry and create new jobs, which are both so vital to Perth and Western Australia.”

The hotel will also be home a new food and beverage destination, serving Mediterranean cuisine and cocktails. The venue will be centred around the hotel’s pool area on level one, directly above Hay Street.

Further details, including the hotel’s namesake artist, will be released in the coming months.
