Dockside Group opened its new venue yesterday morning.
After more than two years in the planning and eight weeks of construction, Dockside Pavilion welcomed guests from the the Sydney International Boat Show.
The first venue of its kind in Australia, the structure stretches 90 metres long, 26.5 metres wide and 9.1 metres high. The combined materials of the pontoon and the pavilion structure weighs in at more than 610 tonnes and is kept afloat with 22 air-filled steel pods, each weighing 17 tonnes.
Group tours of Dockside Pavilion will be available upon request.
