Newly refurbished event spaces at Darwin Convention Centre are being met with enthusiastic feedback from clients and suppliers.
The three Waterfront Rooms have been fully refurbished with new audio visual equipment, operable walls and feature lighting.
The new generation LED Flexi lighting solutions give organisers the choice of gentle background settings or vibrant graphics with a choice of colours and combinations.
Each of the three rooms can host up to 90 people for a banquet or 210 for a cocktail event (at normal capacity). The rooms can be combined for up to 300 guests banquet-style and 600 in cocktail format.
Darwin Convention Centre general manager Peter Savoff praised local businesses Gabbert Design and Ray Laurence Constructions for their work on the project.
“The quality of design and finish has resulted in a world-class contemporary event space,” he said.
“With operable walls providing flexibility to have up to three individual spaces, the Waterfront Rooms are the perfect design to host meetings, seminars and beautifully themed gala dinners.
“We look forward to sharing these amazing new facilities with our valued customers.”
