Confidence on the rise for business travel says Quest poll

More business travellers plan to hit the road in 2010, further confirming that business confidence is on the rise, according to Quest Serviced Apartment's recent Business Travel Survey

More business travellers plan to hit the road in 2010, further confirming that business confidence is on the rise, according to Quest Serviced Apartments’ recent Business Travel Survey, polling more than 1000 regular Australian business travellers.

Only 20 per cent of business travellers plan to cut back their business travel in 2010, compared to more than 50 per cent of corporate travellers surveyed in 2009.

Business travel is on the up, according to Quest Serviced Apartments’ latest survey.

“The economic downturn put a lot of pressure on budgets and bottom-lines, and in many instances business travel was the first to suffer,” said Quest Chairman, Paul Constantinou. “Following a difficult 2009 period, the new decade has bought about a renewed sense of optimism and this positive response reflects the new-found confidence.”

Constantinou said Quest Apartments, which specialises in corporate accommodation, is seeing forward bookings throughout the group increasing compared to the same period last year.

“With further positive signs for the economy on the horizon, it appears that companies are prepared to re-invest in business travel to help re-establish or grow their company following the downturn.”

Quest Serviced Apartments is the largest service apartment group in Australasia with locations in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
