In a bid to continue their support towards the rebuilding of flood ravished areas in Queensland, Victoria Park Function Venue’s general manager Trent Farrell has recently donated over $7000 towards the Lord Mayor’s Community Disaster Relief Appeal Fund.

On Behalf of the Lord Mayor’s Community Disaster Relief Appeal Fund, Deputy Lord Mayor Cr Adrian Schrinner accepts a donation from Victoria Park Function Venue’s General Manager Trent Farrell.

In order to encourage a ‘business as usual’ atmospehere for companies across Brisbane affected directly and indirectly, Victoria Park has been committed in working with their Brisbane partners to ensure the continued growth of meetings and events in Brisbane.

During the first quarter of 2011, Victoria Park Function Venue wound back the clock to pre flood corporate package prices and additionally donated $2 per person from corporate bookings to help raise funds for those affected.

“Our heart goes out to those affected by the devastating flooding that occurred not only across South-East Queensland but the state itself,” said Farrell.

“We are very thankful to our loyal customers who were able to continue business as usual enabling Victoria Park to donate $7402 back to the local community through the Lord Mayor’s Community Disaster Relief Appeal Fund.”

Donations are still welcome to assist with replacing lost or damaged equipment and repairing or rebuilding facilities that were flooded.
