The Bar Century site on George Street in Sydney will be converted into a capsule hotel.
The concept has been in its development stages for the last 12 months. The building will retain its original exterior. Sydney firm Giant Design is behind the fit-out.
The hotel is aimed at guests who are too old for a backpackers, but too price sensitive to afford a regular hotel.
The capsules will range between $35 and $50 in price, depending on the size of the bed (single or double) and the entry approach (longitudinal or vertical).
