Adelaide Convention Centre achieves hat trick at SA Tourism Awards

The Adelaide Convention Centre is the third-time winner of the Meetings and Business Tourism category of the South Australian Tourism Industry Awards

The Adelaide Convention Centre is the third-time winner of the Meetings and Business Tourism category of the South Australian Tourism Industry Awards, announced at the 2010 gala dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre on November 18, 2010.

The third consecutive win also means the Adelaide Convention Centre has been inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame. The venue will now contend for the national title for the third time at the Qantas National Tourism Awards being announced in Perth in March 2011.

Adelaide Convention Centre Chief Executive, Alec Gilbert, credits his team and their Gold Service, Green Attitude for the prestigious accolade.
“We offer world-class facilities and maintain exceptional standards, and the efforts of our dedicated staff ensure the consistent delivery of high quality events.

“Part of the superior product we provide is our commitment to environmental sustainability and we have numerous initiatives in place to reduce our carbon footprint to allow us to provide gold class service while being environmentally responsible,” he said.

By providing a first class tourism experience for business travellers the Adelaide Convention Centre continues to contribute to the broader tourism industry.

“With conference delegates convening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, millions of dollars are poured into hotels, restaurants, cafes and tourism operators throughout the state each year,” Gilbert said.
