The first Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo took place on May 3 and 4 and attracted around 4,000 visitors in its inaugural year.

Held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event featured around 80 booth sites, 200 hair and nail competitors and more than 300 extended education program attendees.

Featuring stand-out performances on Centre Stage by Lachlan Ma’Aramo Demarchelier and his Studio 235 team, the Papas and Pace Artistic Team, Rae Morris, Jazz Pampling, Lorna Evans, Tracey Hughes and many others, the Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo had no shortage of action and entertainment.

The event also attracted high profile guests including Joey Scandizzo, Frank Apostolopoulos, Stelios Papas, Dmitri Papas, Justin Pace, Benni Tognini, Lance Liufau, Andre Faiva, Ashleigh Sharman and Theo Dimitri.

The expo had something for everyone from a wide range of quality exhibitors, industry brands and organisations on show, hair and nail competitions and a Be(you)tiful Bar for those looking to relax and be pampered.

The spotlight stage featured plenty of activity, advice and entertainment, while the event’s extended education program featured seminars by some of the industry’s biggest and hottest names. The Schwarzkopf Champagne Lounge also proved to be the place to be to network and soak up the atmosphere.

Planning is already underway for next year’s event, with dates for the 2016 Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo soon to be announced.
