Anticipation building ahead of schedule for MEETINGS 2020

Nearly 200 exhibitors have already been secured for New Zealand’s premier business events showcase, some eight months ahead of opening day.

Rave reviews from exhibitors and buyers has kicked off the early anticipation for MEETINGS 2020, organisers said ahead of the 21-23 April event due to take place at ASB Showgrounds in Auckland.

In addition to an extensive session program, organisers have advised of six familiarisation programs (four pre-event and two post) confirmed to book-end the showcase event. Prior to the show, groups will have the opportunity to visit Northland, Rotorua, Wellington or Christchurch from 18-20 April, while hosted buyers have their choice of activities in Queenstown or a high-end taste of the Waikato region to spend their ANZAC weekend.

Famil programs are being put together by MEETINGS organisers in conjunction with regional convention bureaux with the support of Air New Zealand.

So far, nearly 200 exhibitors from 20 New Zealand regions have been secured for the event, covering a spectrum including hotels, venues, theming companies, audio-visual, attractions, activities and regional convention organisers. This year’s event led to the signing of over $62 million in new business.

MEETINGS brand owner, Conventions & Incentives New Zealand (CINZ), said exhibitors were delighted each year at the exposure they receive among the industry’s big players.

“Already we have huge interest for 2020 with exhibitors signing up now in anticipation of April’s event. Our Luxury Collection has again confirmed its status as New Zealand’s leading high-end showcase, and it is expected to sell out early,” said CINZ Chief Executive, Sue Sullivan.
