AIME hosted buyer program opens early

Organisers expect to grow the 2020 show by at least 30 per cent.

On the back of a successful 2019 show, Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has officially launched the 2020 hosted buyer program ahead of schedule.

With more than 100 buyers having already lodged expressions of interest, the program has launched early to ensure the most relevant buyers are on board for AIME 2020.

AIME has promised to deliver up to 50 per cent more buyers to the February 2020 event, ensuring a high return on investment for exhibitors.

According to organisers Talk2 Media & Events, AIME 2020 has already seen significant growth in exhibitor sales with figures almost surpassing 2019. The team has an expectation to grow the show by at least 30 per cent in 2020.

“Active buyers are always looking for new destinations, venues, and suppliers, and balancing the right buyers and the right exhibitors takes time and careful curation,” said Talk2 Media & Events CEO Matt Pearce.

“So, it makes absolute sense to launch our hosted buyer program earlier this year. We are looking for a substantial increase in hosted buyers to meet exhibitor demand.”

Following feedback from this year’s show, the 2020 buyer program will include a strong mix of inbound and outbound Australian buyers, as well as Asia Pacific and international buyers.

The vetting process will see additional requirements introduced for approval in 2020, including tightening of event delegate numbers and budgets. AIME will also retain the individual reference checking of every single buyer.

Buyers interested in being hosted in 2020 must submit a thorough online registration form here.
