Hot property: The Baxley, Bondi

The boutique, Hamptons-style accommodation can be exclusively hired for events and group bookings.
The Baxley Bondi has opened its doors in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Sydney has welcomed the opening of The Baxley, a new boutique guest house located in the heart of Bondi.

Late last year, work commenced on transforming the property, which was formerly Cranberry Boarding House, into Hamptons-style accommodation.

The Baxley officially launched in August and now boasts 30 rooms, perfect for business travellers, events and group bookings.

The property is set over two levels in Bondi.

General manager Larissa Fuller says the property can be exclusively hired for company training exercises, corporate stays and conferences.

“The Baxley Bondi has already had much enquiry into full exclusive use of the property, particularly in bringing teams together,” she told Spice News.

“With so many brands and businesses now finding the use of remote workers a viable business model, there is more demand for accommodation spaces that deliver an accessible space to bring staff together.”

The rooms are available in single, double and queen sizes.

The Baxley has a total capacity for 51 guests across its two floors of accommodation. Rooms come in single, double and queen sizes, with ensuite or modern shared bathroom spaces.

Phase two of the property is currently in the works, which includes the development of a studio space that can be used for workshops and events.

“The Baxley Lounge currently offers an easy social space for guests, and our lobby and porch offer a good branded activation space,” says Fuller.

The property will soon include a studio space that can be utilised for events.

“We offer a really cool hub and culture being located in the Bondi area – a brilliant way to showcase a more relaxed side to business events.”

The Baxley Bondi is owned by family-run business Sydney Lodges, which offers 13 boutique accommodation properties in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.

The Baxley has a total capacity for 51 guests.
