Fun idea: World’s Largest Urban Vineyard, Sydney

Cracka Wines will be giving all event attendees a vine to take home and plant as part of their Urban Vineyard Project.

Cracka Wines, an online wine marketplace supporting Australian winemakers and growers, has announced plans to create the World’s Largest Urban Vineyard in Sydney, giving away thousands of free vine-cuttings to be planted in homes across the city.

Debuting at tropical festival Wine Island this year with the ‘Cracka Wines Club House,’ a luxurious day-spa meets cellar-door experience, Cracka Wines will be giving all club house attendees a vine to take home and plant as part of their Urban Vineyard Project.

Recipients will be encouraged to upload the address of their vines, helping to create an online map of the urban vineyard and watching it grow in real time. The online hub will also offer care instructions for vines, a community page where photos can be shared and eventually winemaking lessons.
